Not sure what's older, the pipe or the tobacco. I found this tin a while ago, still vacuum! and jarred it a few weeks ago. The tax seal had a price on it for Dfl 4,40. (The old Dutch Guilders)
A very strong smell when opnening the tin but the taste is a bit less strong. Not bad at all and even with a nice roomnote...
Unfortunately I don't know the original smell and taste fresh from the tin at the time it was availabe in tobacco stores.

Now smoking some of the blend that started it all: Benjamin Hartwell's Evening Stroll. This tobacco is luxury, pure luxury. I was always worried about going to it too often and running out, so I bought a pound of it and now smoke it without worry whenever I feel like it. Unfortunately, I have so many fantastic aromatic blends, that this one doesn't get smoked often enough. The pipe is the last one in this latest Blatter & Blatter Pipes on Parade. This is a tomato with one red dot. Every Blatter & Blatter pipe I have (five) is a perfect smoker. If I can ever get downtown to their B&M, I expect my B&B population to grow.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of early 2000s Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
