Good Day Folks, Gawith American CC in a Rusticated Blakemar Aristocrat Billiard.
That’s just beautiful, I love the pick ax shape.
Does that Dunhill Opera have a oval bowl? I found one in a Salvation Army thrift store in Chicago in 1990 for $2.50 it was my first pipe, now retired.View attachment 82832
Yes, it does...
Good price, for any halfway decent pipe!
I don’t see many 327’s; it seems like somewhat of a unique piece. And the manufacture date was somewhat special to me...
I may get a mount and stem for it as recommended earlier and I'll give that a shot, thank you for the recommendation!@Zepfan84 I recommend Gawith flake in a clay or they would have smoked twist back then.
My favourite pipe tobacco is Gawith Hoggarth cherry vanilla; I had a memorable smoke of it when I went to see Lace Wars at Cromford Mill in 2019 pre Covid19.
It went down well in my clay pipe!
I had to look up that particular tobacco. Sounds interesting. Is the rose petal pretty noticeable?
