My old fav Tabac-Manil Semois medium cut, in an overweight bent billiard bought as a Iwan Ries house pipe, but unstamped by them or anyone else, only "Italy." Nice smooth finish, a little grain, but a little too heavy to clench much. At the time, IR was mostly sourcing house pipes from Savinelli, after having Bentons for years, and now moving on to resume sourcing with Genod. This doesn't look like a Sav to me, maybe some other Italian pipe maker. It does have a good big, deep bowl for Semois that is dry and burns fast. In the old Dunhill size system, this is a Group 6.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am now smoking Wilke No. 13 in a 1980 black rusticated rough top Jobey E27 Stromboli extra ball-shaped poker with a pearl green acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching America: Facts Versus Fiction.
