I smoked the Barontini 1/2 spigot bent billiard with 9mm filter all day with Sutliff 507-C. I am always surprised at how well this pipe smokes and how truly large it is @ 20mmx52mm chamber ... its an all afternoon smoke when fully loaded. And its a good travel/errand pipe while driving. The owl I saw a few days ago must have been the mother ... she's outside now teaching three young ones to trill ...in the trees on the hill.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, cod and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm close to finishing this bowl of year 2018 Mac Baren HH Burley Flake in a straight smooth dark brown 1918 Pre-Republic Peterson’s Dublin 2 apple with a silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Long miserable day at work, but I’m home now and can relax. Packed a bowl of TobaccoPipes compare and share July #2. Seemed to be a crumble cake or broken flake. Nice breadiness from virginias and a strong sour/vinegar like note. I’m thinking orientals? It’s definitely a blend that could grow on me. I get that spiciness in the retro I associate with perique. No idea what it is, but I’m liking it

A third of the way through this bowl of Ken Byron Ventures Jim’s Special Flake 2023 in a straight smooth brown 1920s-30s (Comoy’s) Corinthian Sutliff San Francisco London Made 36 dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. I've waited a long, long time to smoke this old pipe which is likely a 1920s production, but I wanted something special for it, and decided on the blend named for me. I wanted to dedicate a second pipe for this blend, and now I have. I need take a better photo of it since it's a tad darker than what you see.
