Man, now I understand why some people were bummed about some of the English not being the same. I still like Cyprian latakia, but there's really no comparison. I did not expect them to be as different as they are. It's definitely going in my list of favorite English blends.

After a lovely dinner and a decent bottle of plonk I rounded it off with some Nebari in this little early 20C French Clap De Luxe nose warmer with gold band and horn stem. I’ve smoked little else out of this pipe so I guess it’s kinda unintentionally dedicated to it now.
I’m having something a little sweeter now, noughties Troost in a 1955 meer lined Kaywoodie All Briar.

Top of the morn’ to you all. Cool, grey and damp here today and so it’s more Star of the East flake with coffee. Really enjoying this blend, tin note suggests a fuller smoke with the Latakia but it’s very balanced and just a lovely English style. takes a few extra charring lights to get going but once lit is easy to maintain.
