I’ve only seen one of those before, I didn’t realise how large they are. It’s a real stunner 🙏
Thanks Birddog. It is a rather large pipe and requires time set aside to enjoy it. I haven't been able to find another example to help date the pipe. The bowl is briar and the rest of the pipe is a gutta percha mold. The only marking is KB&B. From what I've been able to gather, gutta percha was banned for most uses in the early 20th century in order to save the trees the material is derived from.

If I’m remembering correctly it’s from around 1920 but what with the creeping senility and all I might be wrong as well as jealous 😬

Here is my Jim Inks style post. Just enjoyed an amazing BBQ Chicken dinner with salad after walking about 76 1/2 steps around my office today and now enjoying a bowl of Cannon Plug kindly gifted to me by a very kind soul on this forum. I will enjoy and cup of Espresso before settling in with my book for the evening with a head hitting pillow ETA of 8 pm. Good night fellows and I will see you in the morning if the 'Big Fella' doesn't call me in over night to polish the Pearly gates!

Almost half way through this bowl of year 2013 Stonehaven in a straight black sandblasted 1957 Barling Exel 249 Fossil T.V.F. black billiard with a silver banded military mount and a black ebonite tapered stem.

I’ve not been able to get my hands on Stonehaven yet but I’ve heard it’s similar to GH Dark Shag, can you comment on that please Jim 🙏
