As a fun forerunner to the Falcon and pipes of that ilk - mid 1930s onwards - the Lady's Leg or 'Can-Can' pipe with screw bowl and reservoir to trap saliva and retain it in an absorbent ring was the most popular of the novelty designs.
Early 20th cent. example with removable wind cap exhibiting far greater detail in the moulding than later examples from the 1920s/'30s
