Long time coming. In 2016, a member of FTT from Indonesia travelled through remote villages in Timor Leste (East Timor), collecting seeds from plants grown by the locals. There is no formal tobacco industry in these areas.
Viqueque, named after the village it was found in, looked like a flue cured tobacco (a Virginia). I grew it this year, and I cured it in multiple ways.. Air, rajangan, fire, sun, flue, pile. This is sun cured tobacco after being kilned for 2 weeks at 120°F. The sun cure turned out the best.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of D&R Penhooker Silver in a 1982 smooth straight Sasieni Ivory 105 Apple with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Needed a relatively short smoke to get me through this Archie page.
Last smoke of the day is Granger in an undated straight smooth medium brown Comoy’s Tradition 110B billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Reading while this bowl lasts.

About a third of a bowl left of Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. The outdoor cats kept me awake as they argue over the food I put out for them, even though they have their own plates. Daisy is being very territorial to the other. I'm trying to bring peace to both sides, but it's not working tonight.
We continue with. Old Joe Krantz,in corn pipe Charles towne Cobbler and another irish coffee.............

Have you tried PG-Tips? Britain’s best selling brand. It’s a strong blend usually taken the traditional way with milk and sugar (if you like sugar). Zupans used to stock it if I remember correctly. Yorkshire Gold is another good strong British blend (if that’s what you’re looking for) good luck.
Afternoon all, starting with Peterson 2019 special reserve in a Peterson 312. I’ve dried out overnight some Navy Rolls that I painted with rum a week ago. Smells great but it’s gonna need a few more hours I think. So next up is Bobs Choc Flake in the Nording Sailor. I think I’m gonna have a pinch of snuff too , SG Black Arabica (Coffee) up my schnoz.
