Last night, Match Elizabethan in a smooth bent egg by Genod, excellent light weight pipe with an ample bowl. The blend is a lively Va/Per, vibrant and straight forward. My spell check always wants to call this brand Genoa ...but no, it's not Italian, says Saint Claude right on the stamp.

Bidding you all a late good morning from Monterey after a 6-8 hour power outage. Started the day with HH Balkan Blend in the dark, in an MM Apple Diplo. Didn't really taste much. Now thoroughly enjoying The Amphora Burley in an MM Country Gentleman. (The Amphora Burley is really growing on me, and it positively sings in the Country Gentleman).

Got in a set of walking reps, enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am now smoking Wilke Chocolate Covered Cherry Creme in a light brown 1979 rusticated medium bend Italian Sir Jeffrey Dublin (GBD second) sitter with a flared top and yellow saddle stem. Watching the funeral of Henry Aaron.
