Not far from finishing the last of this tin of year 2013 Rotary Navy Cut in a post-1938 Pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 bulldog with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Nigel Bruce smoked this model in two Sherlock Holmes movies. Please consider asking Shane Ireland at Smoking Pipes and Peterson to bring the pipe back into production. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Well, I just said about an hour or so that I'd probably be laying off the smoking after the rigorous pipe resetting thing I just went through, but I lied. Well, not really. Just returned to my nature. Here's my two afternoon smokes. Skip the next paragraph if you wish. 
At the risk of boring y'all, with another musical corollory, I'm in the same mindset as when I was learning the Stravinsky "L'Histoire" (which I only had 3 weeks to do because the conductor, whom are mostly benighted boneheads, decided to program it during the season instead of giving us the prep necessary, which thoroughly pissed off the big three participants, (violin, clarinet and trumpet, whose parts are completely at the apex of the respective instrumental and rhythmic techniques). During this ultra-stressful time, I thought I'd take a break for a couple of days and work on some old solo repertoire which I was soon to perform, some Sarasate Spanish Dances and the Novacek Perpetual Motion, where I could let loose and relax, but no. No. To much in a discipline mode to do that, so back I went about four hours later to Stravinskying.
Thus, I added two pipes to the Whiskey cleanout that needed it, the McQueen "Seafarer" in cherry, and the lat dedicated and very beautiful ashwood McQueen "Russet".
They are both great smoking pipes, I think my favourites of the McQueens I own, and will hold their own with anything especially when reading or listening to something musically meditative and peaceful, like Gregorian Chant or even some low key Mel Torme or Ella. (Yeah I like that stuff!).
I'll do a repeat tomorrow, and yup, they will benefit. A bit in need of the cleanse.

Just finished smoking year 2010 Mac Baren Burley London Blend in a 2017 smooth, straight medium brown made in France Comoy’s Riband 298 Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem.
Now smoking year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem.
You bet. They make great pipes.

Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake in an olivewood L'Anatra Two Egg Rhodesian. This is my only olivewood but I intend to purchase another when I find the right one. Olivewood make some lovely pipes.
