Naproxen is notoriously bad for the liver and kidneys, morphine is safer, providing the dosage is correct of course.

I agree with you to an extent. Morphine/Opiates are incredibly addictive, potentially leading to all kinds of issues, OXY anyone? but yes, per dosage effect is less harmful than any NSAID.

Pain relievers in general are tough. The sensation of pain is necessary. People without it tend to die at young ages. Effective relief without addiction or side effects is the holy grail for the pharmaceutical industry.
