'Twas the night before Christmas (Eve), right now.
Just loaded a Canadian with a (new) Parfait:
Bottom half = Mac Baren Club Blend
Top half = McClelland Royal Cajun Special
Sort of a mild Wintery (for MN) evening, snow cover all around, temp just under freezing.
Got a pan filled with Pea Soup w/Smoked Pork Hocks & root veggies warming on the stove.
Deciding on which "Adult Beverage" to add alongside.
Made a run to the Post Office this afternoon.
Listened, earlier, to couple versions of What Child Is This (a sentimental favorite, usually bringing a tear to my eye), aka Greensleeves.
Had figured a Beef Rib Roast on Christmas Day, but new plans will be Boneless Leg of Lamb with Greek Lemon Potatoes. Beef or a Pork Roast will be "on deck" next week. Pecan Pie (oh yeah) will finish up. Keeping old family traditions alive, there'll be Oyster Stew tomorrow night. Mashed Rutabagas will accompany the Christmas afternoon meal.
