Smoked a bowl of PS Norwegian in my no name meer, I bought it at an antiques shop in a Comoy's box but I can't find any evidence they ever produced meers. Norwegian is such a good simple blend for a quick smoke, I'm considering buying some to stash away and see if it changes with age. I'm a big Stokkebye fan in general, they will definately be my go to if me and them both survive the Tobaccopacalypse.20241223_135056.jpg

Harry the Hairy was waiting outside the door, and is happily eating up a storm. Daisy the Feral Princess is snoozin' on her blanket. Dunno where Tomato the Brave and Abner the Eager are. I'll check again before bed time.

How did you adjust it? Did you insert a metal tube/sleeve?
It was a short distance to plug. I used some very hard pipe mud I formulated and pierced it with a 3mm bit by hand when wet. I dont know if it will hold up but it was easy enough and was proof that the pipe problem was that it was over drilled. If my fix wears out I will grab a 3mm piece of al tubing and flare one end so a cleaner passes through easier and fix it into place. The dam drilling was like 4.5mm. Comine that with a 25 mm wide bowl and you get air. Still with wide bowl I will probably use it for strong lat blends, also ones that tend to burn fast since it holds so much tobacco.

Although I have a considerable cold, but no fever. I am smoking dt# Veermaster Hamborger, in a beautiful new Greek-made pipe. Also with a fantastic handmade, ash treader. Gift from our good friend Christos. God bless you all. Thank you Christos, for this generous and magnificent gift.IMG_7966.jpgIMG_7967.jpgIMG_7968.jpg

Solani Aged Burley Flake in the Sarome Cambridge to start the day, going for a walk up to the antiques shop soon, then tidying the flat for xmas after lunch
Bought myself a couple of xmas presents - a Parker and a no-name pipe from the antique shop. They had two racks of old pipes this time, mostly Dr Plumbs, an old Falcon I might be back for, a large Stanwell I didn't like the shape of, a Mr Brog, and a couple Medicos. Tenner each for these! Now to the shops for some last minute bits and pieces

I like that Parker. Handsome. Not bad at all for £10 :)

Some of the pipes looked to have been very badly cared for, the Parker struck me as a diamond in the rough. That shop is like an Aladin's cave, it is jam-packed with stuff just stacked higgledy piggledy in heaps and the prices are always really good. Whenever I visit Abernyte (much bigger and fancier antiques shop up the road with curated displays and more of a reputation) I invariably find things I'd seen weeks before at this place with the prices doubled. I make a point to pop in regularly and ask about pipes
