I've never smoked a pipe with a bamboo shank.I'll bet that makes a difference in the smoking quality, no?St Bernard Flake in my Former bamboo billiard.
Merry Christmas, birddog. Just picked up a 5th of Jim Beam "Devil's Cut" Bourbon tonight.Having a last bowl of The Sphinx in a ‘66 Jeantet President Jubilee, my birth year pipe and a drop of Scotch while listening to the late, great and incredibly gorgeous Donna Summer.

If one can have a bent billiard, why not a bent lovat? But yeah, that’s not a thing but it should be!Shank’s round, stem’s a saddle, so it’d be a Lovat. I think the only question is if bent stems are even allowed in the Canadian family.
Thank you!Glad you’re enjoying the new pipe
It’s a metal tube right? I can’t imagine moisture but definitely lighter, I have a bunch of them, they smoke as good as any long shank pipe I own. Metal shanks don’t develop cake, maybe easier to keep clean?I’m not so sure it does, but I can see it possibly absorbing moisture. It definitely cuts the weight down.
Roger that.I’m not so sure it does, but I can see it possibly absorbing moisture. It definitely cuts the weight down.

Sixten was the one that started using it because of briar shortages, I think it looks great as a side benefit.Roger that.

Damn! What time is dinner!?Just some basic ones - little squares folded in to make a well with some lemon and some apple filling, some icing after baking. Can't remember where I first saw them, could be a Paul Hollywood thing, lol.
Actually using puff to make some pheasant/onion/gravy "sausage rolls" for dinner tonight - my tolerance for making puff pastry from scratch only extends to sweets, lol, and not that often - it's time consuming to get the layers.
