Bird report: California scrub-jay, California towhee, Steller's jay, Oak titmouse, Dark-eyed junco, Common raven, Red-tailed hawk, White-crowned sparrow, Spotted towhee, and California quail.

Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2022 unreleased Sutliff Brown Virginia Flake in a 1920s medium bend smooth dark brown BBB Umbra bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem with an orific bit.

Shank’s round, stem’s a saddle, so it’d be a Lovat. I think the only question is if bent stems are even allowed in the Canadian family.

Part way through this bowl of Seattle Pipe Club Hogshead in a well appreciated medium bend, smooth brown 1950s Peterson 999 Dublin chubby Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. This smoke will be interrupted by dinner. Watching black and white half hour episodes of Gunsmoke.
