D&R Rimboche AP in a Baki meer.
@simong That pipe baccy looks like it would smoke well in a clay pipe; I'll have to have another long and delicious smoulder next time I go for a day out in the country or to the pub.Player's No Name in a No Name Cutty (or a footed billiard for the purists). Don't know wether I'm coming or going on the tobacco front. Got some tobacco in a trade, bought some new blends & bought some old. Then today I recieved samples of these new plugs from Cascadia, courtesy of @greeneyes. He also included a very generous sample of this No Name! I don't know how old it is but it's in excellent shape. Plenty of depth & a delightfully fragrant taste about it. A smoke to remember & savour. Thankyou so much! ?

@Birddog66 I made my clay pipe of Condor Ready Rubbed last 47 minutes (with relighting) in the churchyard today; thanks @Ettrick puffer for advice on packing the bowl!Afternoon everyone, I started the day with Hearthside in the Kikob meer lined poker. Next up I have a sample of 75% Red Va 25% ODF, Perique and Kentucky in a MM Marcus. Enjoy your day folks.
Yup found Carter Hall right in the beginning years ago, and just always kinda stuck with it. Buy what you like and your never disappointed.@didimauw When I bought my first clay pipe I thought there were only Condor, Mellow Virginia, St. Bruno and Clan...
I've tried all 4 of these in my clay pipes; St. Bruno is my favourite but I like Condor and Special Virginia as well.
@didimauw I don't think it's sold in the UK.Yup found Carter Hall right in the beginning years ago, and just always kinda stuck with it. Buy what you like and your never disappointed.
Guess you could say the flake's "matured" somewhat as it's likely from WWII ? ? ?Player's No Name in a No Name Cutty (or a footed billiard for the purists). Happy birthday and I hope it’s a good one and that all your smokes are great.I’m going to visit the museum and memorial for the bombing of the federal building here in OKC before heading on to DFW to celebrate my B- day with family.
That’s a very nice setErinmore in an old Peter Stokkebye pipe. View attachment 91455
Slower smoking, in some areas of the world they might not have had easy access or the funds to get more tobac so making it last and getting the most enjoyment from what they had was in my guess the way they thought. But that’s just a guess@simong That pipe baccy looks like it would smoke well in a clay pipe; I'll have to have another long and delicious smoulder next time I go for a day out in the country or to the pub.
Which do you think would impress a fellow Redcoat the most; smoking a clay pipe of baccy the fastest or the slowest?
I don't speed smoke my clay pipes at re-enactments
I'll have to try a long slow smoulder at the next one...
Finished my packet of Condor Ready Rubbed now - it went down well!
I've already used the full lighter I found today; and I got a free packet of Sterling Blue cigarettes with only 2 missing!
Good night folks!!!!Enjoyed some Briar Works Country Lawyer earlier and now smoking Peterson’s Navy Flake- both in a GBD 76er.
