I'm currently reading a collection of Port William's novels and stories by Wendell Berry. There is a lot wisdom in these stories. Also, with all the tobacco farming taking place, they are a great compliment to smoking a pipe.

Just finished “The House at the End of the World” by Dean Koontz. I’m not sure I’ve read anything by him before, but I will definitely be looking more into his work. Fantastic storytelling. Makes you feel like you are there. Kinda horror/sci-fi. Very good read. I could barely put it down.
For fiction, I'd say the beginning, with Nathan Coulter, the first in the Port William stories, but truthfully it doesn't matter. For non-fiction he wrote a book about agriculture and local economies called The Unsettling of America written in the 70s. Still very insightful today. It All Turns on Affection is an essay he delivered for the Jefferson Lecture.
haven't read much of his, but the man has a talent for sure. Hits that mix of fun story and makes you think in a way not many can.
oh and reading Point Counter Point by Aldous Huxley. Really great read. Also if you've read Wodehouse you'll get the not quite as funny version. Almost like two different views on the same people. Oh and the names aren't quite so wonderful.
About half way through Cannery Row by Steinbeck.
Great book so far. Moe Berg was definitely a weird guy but very interesting.
I tend to read a lot of books on politics. Currently reading Mike Pompeo’s Never Give an Inch about his time as CIA Director then as Secretary of State in the Trump Administration. Includes some interesting stories, particularly of his interactions with the regime in North Korea.
After being thoroughly gutted by Never Let Me Go, I decided to read another by Kazuo Ishiguro, Klara and the Sun. Looks like this one is going to do it to me again. What a fantastic writer.
I love his stuff, though I haven't read Klara yet. The Remains of the Day is one of my all time favorite books.
Tracked down and printed out some essays that were suggested by Russ Hicks. Luckily found a handful of interesting topics
