What are You Drinking? (March 2020)

Normally I drink a spirit of some sort neat or maybe a wine but all the beer talk on the site lately I was inspired me to pour myself this glass of Southern Tier Choklat Oranj imperial stout:



Damn! Rich chocolate with a hint of orange backed by a sort of bitter molasses flavor. 10% to boot!

Not a sweet beer but a fantastic dessert beer nonetheless.

Alternating between a nice rotation of Kentucky Gentleman, Ten High American Blend, And Jim Beam Vanilla

Since its March, I have been using some Proper Twelve Irish Whiskey for a twist on an Old Fashioned.

2 sugar Cubes, sprinkled with enough bitters to meddle the sugar to a paste.
Add a splash of water over my wood meddler. (This rinses the sugar from it).
Add a couple of Ice cubes (1 cube is sufficient and preferable if they are large cubes)
Add about 1.5-2oz of the Proper 12.
Stir to dissolve the sugar paste.
Add another 1.5-2oz of the Proper 12.
Add a DASH of Orange bitters.
Add a Cherry.
Stir gently.
Enjoy.
