Being half Armenian, our holiday meals had a mix of traditional and Mediterranean dishes. With most of the family having passed or far away, I have tried carrying on the tradition with my daughter.
Meza (a spread of various appetizers) was always the highlight. Here was my Meza: pitas with hummus and garlic spread, kalamata olives, sujuk (think of a mix of spicy salami and beef sticks), stuffed grape leaves, and Armenian string cheese (which has to be thinly pulled for optimum flavor).
