@Snowhill :"the shop found a bug"
Don't EVER say bug in a tobacco forum. I sure wish I took a pic of the umm, infested Rectangular I once unwrapped. Looked like a flute that had a few extra holes :)
BTW, Still have an order from IPSD, processing...
They are good peeps and will do whatever to make you right, give them time...

Mines from the 18th and still stuck in processing but all the tubs I ordered show in stock. I am not worried I am sure I will get it eventually.

Eventually this will all get sorted out and people will get their orders and decide whether or not they will do further business with CI. It's unfortunate that the upgrade process hasn't really gotten smoother, 20+ years into the digital age. I remember that any mention of an update was a cause for anxiety since the new software was often shipped before it had been properly debugged and we were often the lab rate whose struggles provided the diligence that the software company hadn't done before releasing its product.
My favorite of these disasters was the release of Adobe Photoshop 3.0, which was sent out with the kill code still embedded. At the stroke of midnight of December 31st of that year, the software stopped working on every computer where it had been installed, all across the nation.

Change Management matters. I thought it was pretty standard corporation affair, but I guess not. It's a huge deal where I work and a customer-facing issue this bad would never go this long without a roll back. Like within 24 hours.

Still awaiting shipment of an order I placed on February 19th. Have had a few complaints about them before, but decided to give them another chance. Methinks it may have been a mistake. :|

I saw dozens of complaints about them yesterday on social media. Personally I've never had any huge problems with them. As Cosmic mentioned, they have best prices online, I hope they can solve it as soon as possible.

I just got a new email from them:
We are making progress in getting your order out to you. We are currently in the process of retrieving your items from inventory. Our warehouse team is working 24 hour shifts to get orders picked, packed, and shipped out within the next few days (hopefully sooner). We will do our best to be transparent on the status of your package until it leaves our facility.
Did anybody else receive this or am I legitimately about to get a shipment?

I have had access to my account the entire time via Firefox but no information was available as far as my order being processed aside from the generic emails.

One of the items is a pipe that I don't think is being produced anymore, so my fingers are crossed.

I was receiving emails like this, even as they were sending me a tracking number for the shipped package. So, this is generic and just being sent out on the one hand... to those with orders pending. The actual shipping happening with the other.
I will actually have a 19 Feb order in my mailbox by midday, as it is "Out for Delivery" according to tracking software.

You could alternatively check website in incognito mode, you don't have to bother with history each time.

I guess being born into the computer generation does not leave me with much choice.
You could also try installing Tor browser, that's the last measure I'd use if I needed to access the website.

I've got two orders, emails same as above and emails saying both have shipped. The site says one has shipped and one processing, the earliest order as processing

Oh well, wait and see.....

It's been about a week since I last heard from them. Nothing has changed in my account info on the web site, either.

Are all of our members computer tech specialists or something? Ha ha. I thought that I was being so cutting edge by knowing how to post a picture. :puffy:
LOL!
No, just throwing out something I learned from another forum when I had a problem like this. It won't help if you already did it once. Their site and your browser aren't "talking", as it were. Installing a new browser, uninstalling the one you have and re-installing it might help, but at this point I'd let them figure out what is happening first. Especially if you can access the page on an ipad.

Well. I am. Networks, databases and POS, in addition to "techs". I hire the techs... if they are really (really) good.
And I started with the obvious: it was an end-user issue, not P&C's whole/bloody system. But, as in the world: there are the quick; and the dead.

Hey guys, you do NOT have to delete your entire browser history and screw up all your other sites and reset the browser. You only have to delete the pipesandcigars.com cookies. That can easily be done in Firefox by going to TOOLS/OPTIONS/PRIVACY then click on REMOVE INDIVIDUAL COOKIES and scroll down to select pipesandcigars' cookies.
As for the P&C warehouse system upgrade, you have to remember this is a big company we are dealing with, not a small outfit like smokingpipes.com. Pipesandcigars is owned by the Scandinavian Tobacco Group and under that one roof is cigars.com, cigarsinternational.com, cigarbid.com and pipesandcigars.com. That facility sometimes ships over 10,000 orders a day. And they implemented a new Microsoft product that took down all of those sites. They put out the fires best that they could, but I'm guessing a higher dollar volume site like cigars.com got precedence over P&C for the limited IT resources available to fix all the problems. Give them time...it will all work itself out. It's sad that this happened right before IPSD, but there's never a good time to "break a leg".
