I’m going to be stubborn and see just how long it takes my February 16, 2017 order to ship from P&C. It will be my last order for quite some time with them.

I have close to $300 in orders from 02/19 and 02/20 still outstanding. I'm seeing multiple posts from people around the web who ordered after me and got theirs fulfilled. What happened to first order in first order out?
I have spent thousands of dollars over the years with P&C and this is the straw that did it for me.
After having:
1) Consistently poor packaging

2) MANY H&H tins with rust on the bottom inside (silver bottom tins)

3) This inventory system change right before the Black Friday of tobacco
Making mistakes is fine as long as they make it right and improve. Unfortunately, this is a pattern and my patience has run out. Not to mention, I don't see them even trying to make this "right". No coupons, nothing but emails.
I had a bad feeling back when Cigars International acquired them. Now I know why.
I'm done with them.

I got to open the package that arrived on monday today.

Everything was in there, coffee too.
Also, the journal included had some code that successfully applies to an order on pipesandcigars, yet I have no idea what exactly it does.

I ordered on 2/19, after they posted the 20% IPSD offer. P&C already had good sales on Escudo, Orlik Golden Sliced, and their H&H Midtown tubs running. They accepted the 20% code on top of that, so I was able to really clean up.
This was not an original idea, and several of the items have been on backorder since then. It seems strange for a tobacconist the size of P&C to be out of stock on 100g Golden Sliced tins for three straight weeks.
I have more tobacco than I know what to do with anyway, so I can wait it out, but it's getting annoying. CI left out one item from an order a couple years ago, but that's been the only problem I've had with them for six years until now.

They might have put it aside for your order and have not gotten around to shipping it yet, at least that's what it seems to have happened to my warhorse. I suggest you call them up.

Hi,

I am curious if anyone has placed a new order in March and if they received it on time. I am wondering specifically for ordering the Dunhill tins that are sale this month.

My IPSD order is still "processing", but perhaps new orders are are back to normal?
Also, fwiw, I can now long on to my account from my regular computer using Safari (not just from my iPhone), where as I could not do this since the IPSD meltdown until yesterday. So at least that shows some progress in restoring their system.

@scrumpyjack - thanks for posting the email address of the contact center manager. I just sent her a message to see if I can get my orders straightened out.
Other than the partial shipment I received on the Friday of IPSD week, I have gotten nothing from them and have not heard a single word. I entered an inquiry through the web site that was closed without a response. The status of the orders have never been updated.
Just this week, they charged my credit card an additional amount, but that haven't told me that they have shipped something else.

My Paypal got charged when I made the order, and charged again when the order was shipped.

Interesting, I got all but one of the 6 tins I ordered, one showed up as backordered, however my paypal account has not been charged for the purchase at all. That's a first.

Has anyone received their back-ordered product? Any back orders I have had with P&C have never been sent.

Yes, items that were on back order, have been received. Sometimes months after the order was placed. The reason is mostly because of manufacturers being backlogged.

I personally think it quite wrong for a website to advertise and sell something that they don't physically have in stock.
How are they allowed to get away with taking a customer's money then telling said customer that they will post the order once they have acquired it themselves :crazy:

I tried for days to get through, always a busy signal. No replies to email either. After many botched orders, I tried to give them another chance with this sale, but never again.

I was in Florida for almost 3 weeks packing up my mother's condo to move to MD and missed the IPSD and P&C problems. As trying as the move was, this seems more aggravating.

I also managed to avoid all of this.
Are you guys getting double-charged for a full amount twice, or did they split up the total order into two charges for some reason?
I'll add back-ordered stuff to an order when it's on sale to get a sale price and the free shipping if available. They'll ship twice and I pay nothing extra.
The thing that tripped me up once is when the back-ordered stuff shows up and the invoice shows the total amount for what's in the box at the full retail price, and I forget that I already paid for it when it was on sale!
