The non-direct pairing of years past seemed more interesting than the pattern that appears to be emerging.
@mikethompsonSeems a strange pattern this year for some reason, based on replies. Kind of hard to be "Secret".
Yes, it's an odd choice if that's the case. Even if the names were offset by one name in two layers to create unmatched pairs, most everybody would've been "secret."Seems a strange pattern this year for some reason, based on replies. Kind of hard to be "Secret".

I think the criticism is legit if it makes the event "Not-So-Secret-Santa." It'll still be fun, and it might even be that there are some random direct pairings and everyone else is matched with an indirect partner.Critiquing the process is akin to volunteering to coordinate next years program...............
Best way of volunteering, I know of....Critiquing the process is akin to volunteering to coordinate next years program...............

Haha, good point - and it could be just a few at random but seems “trending”, lol. Certainly not picking on Santa - that’s for December 26!Critiquing the process is akin to volunteering to coordinate next years program...............
Not that I'm aware of...Was that a "Hunger Games" reference?
@mikethompson
Care to shed light on the Xmas magic?

Mike, I ,for one, have no complaints at all. Bang up job!!For the past two years, maybe more, this is how the pairings have worked, at least for me. I apologize if the matches weren't dynamic and overly complicated LOL.
Critiquing the process just might get your name accidentally removed next year haha!
I would point out that it would still be Secret who got matched with whom if you guys kept it secret.
