This one came as a free gift with another pipe.
I love small pipes with short chambers, it's great for a little pause. I have this Talbert morta. Great smoker. An eskimo from Eclesias, a dunhill opera from 1976, great fondation by musico, a volcano by Dädä and a Liverpool by Dirk Claessen.

AND meers? I love my smooth mini like that, but it’s 3/4” bowl, so not really a “ten minute” pipe (unless is a dry shag).

Is it fair to say that for tasting purposes, a small pipe works fine?
The green one is a Paronelli. They make some nice colorful pipes. Below are a few more.
As far as tasting, I think the middle part of the bowl gives you the best idea of a blend, so I’m not too sure that a small pipe is good for that purpose.

On honor of this thread it tried it out. I have a handful of mini clay pipes from Penn Valley. I wanted to try this Virginia flake from sir John broken flake that I've been hoarding.
With three years it's not bad. this tiny pipe mount not be doing it justice though.

All of these I bought in the last week in my Vienna estate-pipe hunting. Not smoked any yet as I dont have any cleaning supplies with me and they all need a good bath.
I am still trying to gather info on this cute little Peterson. I guess it's a precurser to todays Belgique?... It is probably from the 50's. Very similar shape/bowl to a GBD someone posted a few pages back.
The Big Ben Ranger is not that small a bowl, but a small cute pipe.
I might have the option to buy a Big Ben Pipo - it's smaller cousin it seems. It's maybe a buck or two more than I want to spend on it but I might just grab it.
I also got a ROPP, with a smaller oval bowl. I'd call it a 2/3rd's size. More than 20min likely. Maybe 30.
There is also a very small Jeantet someone here is selling - I might pick it up.

Love that little Ropp on the bottom. It just needs a shorter tapered stem to be perfect.
These days when I need a short smoke I just fill a regular pipe halfway with meer chips and pack some baccy on top.
I recently got this Savinelli Minuto. The brochure it came with claimed 5 minutes. That’s quite a bit faster than I go, but it is small.
This estate Hardcastle "Jockey Club" 731X (if I remember right) is pretty small and light, but it does have a medium bowl capacity - smokes hot easily, thin bowl walls. There must be an ideal fast tobacco that would suit it - I haven't explored much, the weird mouthpiece doesn't gel for me.
Yes. I have half a dozen McQueen miniatures, both long and short stem; they hold about 1/3 the tobacco as does a regular pipe. I usually get 20 minutes of smoking with them, but the first 12 - 14 minutes is exceptional. I only smoke them in the mornings . . . I really don't want a longer smoke than that in the morning, and usually smoke something bright and twangy, ie some perique, with cold coffee. That's a nice collection you have there. I'll post mine when I get organized. If I ever do. . . .
That is a rather interesting looking piece, at least to my eyes.
