Here are five I rely on. In the foreground is a 7-inch Mastro Geppetto billiard for perspective.
(L-R) A green Paronelli; a Molino; a Ser Jacopo Ad Astra; an oval bowl Volkan; and a tiny Amorelli. Yep, all Italians since the small cocktail pipes seem be favored by the Europeans.

Is it fair to say that for tasting purposes, a small pipe works fine?
On honor of this thread it tried it out. I have a handful of mini clay pipes from Penn Valley. I wanted to try this Virginia flake from sir John broken flake that I've been hoarding.The green one is a Paronelli. They make some nice colorful pipes. Below are a few more.
As far as tasting, I think the middle part of the bowl gives you the best idea of a blend, so I’m not too sure that a small pipe is good for that purpose.
