Cosmic you are cracking me up, lol.

Yes, there’s a tornado end of the world apocalypse super cell holy shit storm going on, but dammit I want to smoke a pipe! ???

If that means wearing a helmet and safety glasses and strapping yourself to the biggest tree in the state, well what’s wrong with that?

Stay safe, Cosmic. I’ve moved between tornado alley and the Rockies most of my life, and genuinely miss the news from this weekend of 36” of snow in spring. That being said, I certainly will take mornings shovel snow and cleaning vehicles over my experiences with tornados.

Lots of fun to watch from a safe distances, beyond hellish to experience firsthand. Cheers to You and Yours.

Cup of coffee, and a look around... looks like it knocked the rest of the dead leaves out of the trees. Should I contact the insurance companies or is this just one of those "acts of God" things? I just don't want to wait too long, till the deductible goes up.

Crap spilled my coffee... I should probably call the insurance about that also. puffy

That is the funniest thing I have read in a while! Thank you!!

I think I slept through the wind part... and the Carter Hall part... but ten miles down the road, folks lost a lot of real estate. No trailers were harmed as far as I've heard. Not sure about other folk's canoes. I just got back from helping clear the main road. Wasn't too bad, I just pointed and told younger folks what to do, haha!

The sun is coming out, that usually means trouble. So, before the sun crashes to the ground and the waters sweeps us into the river, I’m going to smoke a bowl from the oldest jar I have.
Maybe I’ll make a run for it between the rabid armadillos and the carnivorous flowers.

Really though, the weatherman is throwing the kitchen sink at us.

Very hard to tell our status in central North Carolina. They downgraded the level of concern, but when they walk through the warm front and other graphics, we still have risk of problems on into the evening. Of course, I hope it fizzles altogether, but we won't know until about 10 p.m. EDT. Just kind of misty and overcast with a breeze at 2:30 p.m. Vaccinations and doctors appointments have been cancelled for this afternoon, but luckily I don't have either appointment.

It was forecast to us as "possibly the worst storm of the century." It wasn't. But, by the time it comes through to you guys, it will have to crawl over the Appalachians, so maybe it will just be some much needed Spring showers for you guys.

I’m sure it’s fake news. Don’t let storms control your life. Don’t fear storms. Go outside and be free!
I’ve also heard cellars don’t protect you from storms.. it’s just a means to control you. So be sure to stay out of the cellar... because that’s what “they” want you to do. It’s never been proven that cellars protect you from storms.
