A couple of recent additions. Stanwell Shape 35 (and 935) canted egg designed by Anne Julie. Possibly my favourite Stanwell shape of all.

The smaller partially sandblasted is a Royal Danish (Stanwell 2nd line) Shape 935

The larger, saddle-stemmed smooth has no markings on the stummel, and stem markings are illegible from over-buffing. Impossible to know if it is a Stanwell, Scandia or one of their other 2nd lines.

I got these a few years ago and never posted them - a pair of featherweight 240's.

I smoke these two probably more than any of my other pipes.

Would anyone know if Stanwell made this shape in a vario or golden danish finish? I rarely see this shape come up as estates.

My love fest with Anne Julie's bent, oval shanked canted egg with tapered stem Shape 35B for Stenwell continues.

In this week is an unsmoked sandblasted Danish Sovereign (Stanwell 2nd) Shape 435.

I'd like to correct a mistake in the original post

The larger of the 2 Anne Julie-designed canted eggs (the smooth with saddle stem) is a Shape 186

Can't Leave
Always loved the Prince shape and finding a Stanwell other than the 109 has proven to be elusive. The 46. Finally, found one and am quite happy about it. Anyone see these often, I surely don't. This one seems to be an oldie. It has a script logo Stanwell over the Reg.#, over OLD BRIAR and stamped 346. Info from the seller, was much appreciated: The Prince Shape 46, grade 3 (=346) where 1 was the finest (146) and 8 the worse (846). Cleaned up really well, it was is great shape. So happy to have had the opportunity to add this pipe to my Stanwell collection.

There isn’t. Did Stanwell make pipes with blank engraving plates? I have seen one with initials before but didn’t know if it was common.
Not to my knowledge - they used the same sandblast finish and metal piece either on top of the shank or on the side like yours (and mine below). They are fantastic pipes and one of my favorite briars95393261-2CC9-4214-BE1D-D35145AB6406.jpeg
