Just received this Altinok, have 3 bowls smoked. This pipe smokes awesome and is very well made. Has a taller bowl than I normally use but I like that. It will be used for my first smoke of the day which is my favorite. The taller bowl will let me enjoy that longer and the ID is perfect, 0.75". The walls of this pipe are fairly thick around the bottom and the shank, I don't look for it to color quickly. That's secondary to it smoking well though.

Thank you. Interestingly enough, the pipe came with a thick coat of wax. After smoking 3 bowls, the wax has kind of melted away and it is actually more white than it came. There's still some wax left on the bottom and shank, kind of has a two tone look now. It was almost like it "defrosted" the first few bowls. Regardless, it smokes fantastic.

Got this one from a Briarville flash sale simply because it has an URAL sticker in the case and Deniz always sold good pipes. There are no carver markings on the pipe. Only a black dot on the mouth piece, and a V sticker on the underside and inside the case. Anyone have any idea who made it?

This is kind of the conflict with Meers. If you like to see your Meers color, they need to be smoked. The more Meers you have, the less each one will be smoked. I'm more of a smoker than a collector so it doesn't make sense to me to have a whole bunch of Meers.

Agreed. I try to smoke one for a week then another for a week and so on.
