It may just be the way it's standing, but it looks to me like it would end up at a similar angle as a horn like the one below...which is fine for normal people, but I don't think it'd work well for me...for either lighting or smoking.

Nope all my pipes hang cause I'm too lazy to hold em. Even my billiards sit at a 45 degree angle downward. Great choice for a first meer!Picked up this Ural meerschaum new off eBay from an estate. It my first meer and I must say I finally see why meers are considered by some to be the gold standard In pipes. Smokes beautifully

I smoke with my pipes upside down when it is raining, and the tobacco doesn’t really spill out.

I had a Pete/Manx system that was a stellar smoker. Sadly I sold it because I wasn't fond of P-lips at that time. I wish I hadn't sold it now.
Never do that with cube cut or rough cut blends.
That's why I said it's fine for normal people...the laws of physics don't work quite the same for me. I've never fully adjusted to gravity on this planet.

OK. You win the 'Fact of the Day' competition. I suppose they will be selling Bazooka Joe flavored twist next. I am going to buy a tin of Banana flavored tobacco from C.I just to see what it tastes like, maybe they will have a few others I might want to try like KFC Flakes or the Whopper Plug!
