" Dorset knotty" as a kaywoodie line. Could it be a replacement stem?

That looks like it will be a pretty easy restoration. Was that a piece chipped /missing from the shank?

It’s early. Like 1920s.

Looks incredible in my humble opinion. Previous owner took a good sized bite out of it. Nice work.

Thanks. I have to say, I've found its come to be my best smoker, even with the much maligned stinger. Just smokes beautifully, hardly heats up at all, passes a cleaner easily. I'm enjoying it to the extent that my Peterson is gathering dust!

Bought this "Prima" prince new in 2009. I think maybe it was part of the Gold series. It's a solid smoker.

I love my Kaywoodie, stinger and all, next to my (now sold) Dunhill Shell it seems like a companion and quality fine smoking instrument crafted by the gods, compared to my Dunhill which felt and smoked like it was made by a rock person from a cave drawing of a pipe in the dark. I can't fault it, never gets hot, always tastes sweet. Definitely a woodie convert.
