I cleaned up my desk and felt I should show some of my Kaywoodie pipes, ranging from the early twenties to earlier this month. Minus the leather carved and the calabash, everything on top of the desk is Kaywoodie with a few Medico and Yello-bole pipes thrown in. It has always upset me that we only have an American thread, but no Kaywoodie thread.

What did you desk look like before you "cleaned it"? ?

The picture in the center advertising Mail Pouch tobacco, that's a Wisconsin product from Rock County. The town of Edgerton, WI still has the old steam heated warehouse buildings downtown and the summer festival is called Tobacco Days.
I love that painting. Local lady painted it, but yes, an awesome old WI product. You shouldn't see the desk before.20220617_092113.jpg20220617_092150.jpg

The Super Grain Synchro-Lok is from 1968 to 1970. Designed to fix the overclocking or underclocking the stems would take on over time. The Standard is hard to date. Style of stinger would help.
I have two old Kaywoodies, not sure how old. A standard apple with a 42 stamp and a supergrain bulldog with a 12B stamp maybe? Both have stingers. I enjoy the bulldog the most.

Does this include KB&B and or Dorset pipes with the clover logo?
If so, currently smoking a Dorset 05 with the ever-sought after gold foil stem logo.
It's a fairly light sandblast. The only factory stamping on it is 05. The stinger is the push type Drinkless,

Aside from the 05 on the underside, the smooth nomenclature area has faint "etching" where someone once personalized it. With magnification I can make out "10-26-32(4?)", and below the numbers are a few letters that just barely remain. Wish I knew more about it.

Well the 50B arrived. To my surprise it looks unsmoked, still has a brown stain in the chamber. The stem was lightly oxidised with a dark patch where the must have been a price label
The what I assume is classed as a 3 hole stinger (3 holes in the ball plus one near the thread) is intact
i would love to know the approximate age
