Just a footnote on this thread. Most of us know from our elders that in the 1950's Kaywoodie was the premier factory pipe in the world, with Dunhill playing second fiddle, and they were both quite pricey, but neither as pricey corrected for inflation as the Dunhill/White spot bought new today.

I guess it is not universally accepted by pipe smokers, but I have found the current crop of Kaywoodie of substantial quality, not what their low prices would suggest at all. They have good traditional designs, well drilled and nicely finished, more sophisticated visually than other pipes in their price range. I think they're one hell of a bargain.

Lots of nice ones, old and new, on this thread. Thank you for posting these. This isn't a summary. On with the Kaywoodie show(ing).

When you buy old Kaywoodies, there’s no better luck than buying what’s described as a three hole stinger Flame Grain 12B, and it’s actually a Drinkless stamped 4 hole stinger.

Now, is a small ball IMPORTED BRAIR stamped, after the war got started model, but it should clean up to new.

After I saw @TheIronMonkey ’s tiny KW I was on a mission to get one. Well one popped up the other day on the bay. So here is my tiny cased KW and one of the Rarest KW’s in my collection. It’s the only one I own that I can put a definitive year on, and a rare finish/line. It’s a 1929 Straight Grain 33 with SYNCHROSTEM PAT.APP.FOR stamped on the bottom of the shank. The combination of the 2 digit shape code and pat stamp mean this pipe could have only been made in 1929, and it’s a straight grain to boot. 07BB2369-D7CA-4C0D-9797-66E4F7642EB8.jpeg3A2F053E-7E4E-495F-8079-3A1A0C94A135.jpeg

Kaywoodie Supreme Apple from Greywoodie.com received this week in the mail. My first ever kaywoodie. First smoke with it was today with Newminster flake. It's a flawless smoker. Takes a pipe cleaner with ease and has a great draw. Feels great when clenching or in hand. Didn't need a single pipe cleaner for moisture, none! Barely warm bowl, cool flavorful smoke that left no dottle (rare for me). Looks great, smokes great, and extremely wallet friendly, I'll be searching out a few more.

I didn’t realize the effort Kaywoodie puts into the new pipes and this person who does the Graywoodie site makes some interesting pipes too.
