Quarter bent, tapered stem with sperm whale stem (not shank) accent

I love the large, squat bowl and the way the stem tapers abruptly into the button

Yes, there were a few posts on the use of sperm whale oil on meers recently.
Quite different from whale sperm oil

I was very stoked to recently score this Sven-Lar, Michael Kabik “Sculpture.” It needs a little restoration, but I don’t think I could ever part with this. Not everybody’s cup of tea, though so representative of both his pipe work and subsequent wood sculpting.

I hardly ever smoke it (last time was my avatar pic), but it rode my father’s desk my entire childhood.
I shall never be rid of it.

I was very impressed by both the Refbjerg and Idskov bulldogs I got last month so I decided to get another pipe from each maker.

That Soren pipe is really wowing me. Where did you pick it up? I've been less of a fan of Danish shapes these days but that is just captivating.

I baulk at the prices asked for a lot of Danish pipes, but these, because they are by lesser known makers, are in the affordable category
