Here are my two Missouri Meerschaum Cobs. One is a straight Country Gentleman (there’s a joke in there somewhere) and the other is the Cornell and Diehl Carolina Gent. Both great smokers and low maintenance. The only thing I did not like was having to char down the stem in the bowl. Now they are great smokers and great travel buddies!

On an unrelated side topic why does every time I upload a pic to the site it turns sideways?

This cob belonged to a friend's grandfather. I gave it a cleaning little facelift, but otherwise it's stock. It was either unsmoked, or it had been smoked and restored...I'm not sure which, although the bowl's walls were clean and thinner than those on contemporary MM cobs. It has a bamboo shank and a vulcanite (I think) stem with a stinger. The MM logo is stamped on the hardwood insert on the bottom of the bowl.
I think she was planning to let me keep it, and after taking it for a test drive tonight I hope she does. I bought a tin of Irish Oak today, and it handled it like a champ.
