I've been remiss in not trying more GH&Co blends, so I'm branching out with some Dark Plug and #7 Broken Flake:

I also threw in a MM Morgan Natural cob. Without even smoking it, I think it'll become a favorite -- it's light, the chamber dimensions are perfect for me, and the stem has a nice feel to it. Any nits I might have aren't worth mentioning for the $6.57 purchase price. :)

Big thank you to TobaccoPipes! I was browsing on my phone last week, waiting for my daughter’s soccer practice to end, and noticed they were having a raffle. Threw my name in on a whim, and got the call! Guess I can’t say I never win anything anymore. View attachment 252433
Saw quite a few recent reports of tin sightings popping up here and there of this release, but alas it has evaded me.

A phantom indeed.

Enjoy!

#7 Broken Flake is the most heavily topped/perfumed flake in the GH portfolio. The first time I tried it in a cobb was like smoking incense. In a briar the topping seemed much more manageable, and it really is a spectacular smoke. This would be a good one to blend into a neutral base to dial in your preferred amount of Lakeland.

Dark Plug is a double-ligero nic-bomb Churchill condensed down into a bowl. It's a wild ride, best reserved for those weekend nights when you want to take your buzz into the fifth dimension.

I bought a couple of the last ounces of #7BF that SmokingPipes had in stock, so I won't be surprised if the topping is a little faded. Looking forward to it either way!

I'm a nicotine wimp, so I'll definitely need to take this one in small doses, but I love that there are still a few companies willing to make this kind of stuff!

No.7 BF ghosted my tamper, it's so potently topped; thus my username.

So far, No.7 BF is the only GH blend that I have not got on with from the get-go. Something about the topping was just too much. It's on my list to mix 50/50 with Erinmore Flake and see if I find that any better. I believe in doing so, it's reported to be more reminiscent to the Erinmore of old, for those who have smoked it.

I must be more resilient to nicotine than I think, but I found the twist offerings to be the only GH product that sits me deep in my seat, thus far (along with Samuel Gawith Black XX, to boot).

Had some out of towners come in to save the day. St Bernard is becoming one of my main smokes, Salty dogs is a great treat.

Im smoking some Marlin Flake right now. Top notch...dried it for a few minutes in the sun first. Smooth and tasty.

The Wallace Flake serves to remind me Im just not crazy about Burly. I will still smoke it but I will likely add something with virginia to it so to brighten it up a touch. Box-O-FUN!
