Opening a tin like this is always special. Late 70s Dobies Four Square Curlies.
Stored ideally, cool and dry, for nearly 50 years.
Practically no rust or oxidation inside the tin, and tiny coins that remain lightly moist and full of British air of yesteryear.

Sweet, mellow tobaccos.. rich in flavor.. divine. Each bowl of it that is smoked becomes one to remember. It really is that good!

HU Tuarekh. From the charring light I knew this was a winner. Thanks to @Sigmund for his recommendations on this one. I will need to partake in more than the small taster bowl I had to begin pulling out all the nuances but I can say this one was actually much gentler and smoother than I expected but by no means lacking in flavour. Very complex. I will be looking forward to my next sit down with this blend and will certainly be acquiring more.

@jbfrady ready for the celebration of life for GoA! Best guess is 1985ish Elephant & Castle New World will be available for all those in attendance.

When I gently opened this tin, it gave a wonderful HISS releasing its 40 year old vacuum seal! It still has a bit of moisture to the touch and screaming to be smoked!

No doubt, I will be pulling from the jar on rare occasions. It will probably last another 20 years unless I can find a replacement.

Here’s an old cutter top. No clue of its age, but my guess is it’s from the 30’s. It’s Two Flakes and it’s from Ireland. It smells pretty good and this is all I’ll smoke until it’s gone. Air will destroy the contents within a day or two. But it’ll be gone by then and fire will have beaten air to destruction.

So, how is it? The cutter tops are true treasures, I've never had one that I didn't like. Thanks for sharing.
