I’d love to see the Isles make it to the final. Then no matter what, a team that hasn’t won in a LONG time (or ever) will take home the cup.

Glad to see either VGK or MTL in there.

I’m just sitting here trying to figure out upon whom I shall place the next kiss of death by picking them to win...

Carolina
Colorado

I’d really like to see Trotzy win another one. You’re welcome, Tampa Bay.

There’s a lotta boys on that squad that deserve one for sure. I’d love to see a VGK/NYI final. They are the two teams that have shown the most character in these playoffs for me.

I don’t know who the hell that wasnt good enough for. Add the two cups he’s piled on since then and you won’t find many unhappy pens fans.

That being said, stats like that are not that logical anyway. I mean, you could look at Jake Guentzel’s stats and see 2 cup wins and 8 series wins in his first two seasons.

Patrick effing Maroon might win his third in a row this season, haha.

Team stats aren’t super reflective of any one player’s ability.

Vegas Baby!!!
Well that was a great series. I haven't seen playoff hockey that good in a while. Colorado had me on the edge of my seat as I thought they were the better team for most of the last two games.

How are you celebrating, @ashdigger? I'm going to go light up some McClelland 2015 and eventually pop an IPA.
I smoked some 2014 Klondike Gold in a Ryan Alden Billiard. AND I drank the blood of my enemies.

Actually I had some Frey Ranch Bourbon. It’s all made in Nevada.

Followed it up with

A very fun series to watch for sure!!!

Looking forward to the finals. Although I’ll miss the first game, since Sunday is my birthday, and I’ll be too busy whooping @BarrelProof ‘s ass on the golf links to see the game.

Wow, tight game, but the Isles pulled it off. Should be interesting to see how TB responds in Game 2. Plenty of players remaining who remember the sweep the Jackets administered in Round 1 a couple years back.
I kind of thought the Lightening had the edge, guess not! Be curious to see how both respond. Two great goalies, who breaks first?

Yeah, two great Russian goalies (is that water or vodka in the Gatorade bottles? :ROFLMAO:), but that 2nd goal Vasilevskiy gave up was pretty brutal. No traffic whatsoever in the slot; should've had it, could've completely changed the outcome of the game. Very competitive, classic tight playoff game, little room to operate out there.

If I didn’t have immaculate control of my game, and therefore the scorecard, it wouldn’t have been a one stroke event. Fortunately, it was your birthday and I’m a kind bloke. I may have allowed the deficit to grow to ten; no, thirty strokes had Mike and Linda not been present, thereby being forced to bear witness to such an assault on an ostensibly kind fella.

Mind you, Frank, you have but one birthday a year. My alcohol/heat/nicotine cold sweats are gone and I assure you, the disparity betwixt my score and yours shall do nothing but grow, not unlike the distance between our drives.

By the end of the summer, there will be enough strokes between our score cards to match the combined total of tobacco in the cellar of @hoosierpipeguy , @chasingembers, @cigrmaster and the advertised amount at P&C; a threat I don’t take lightly with our limited season.

Consider yourself warned.

On with the hockey.
