NHL Playoffs

Game 5 this afternoon for Boston and New York. I hope that loss woke Julien up and he puts Seguin back with Bergeron and Marchand. Jagr doesn't have the speed to be on that line. He'd be much better with Peverly and Paille dishing it to the front of the net for them from the corners or half wall. Go Bruins!

Bruins and Pens should be a hell of a series to watch. Classic skill vs. braun matchup (yes I'm aware that Boston has lots of skill too)

Yes, it shouild be fun to watch. Too close to call. However, I think that the Bruins will beat the Pens in 6. The Bruins are so physical, but they have guys to score. Vokoun/Fleury are NOT Lundqvist.

Should be a fun series to watch. Especially with the scenario that played itself out with Iginla. Boston is a typical blue collar team that also has a decent amount of skill in guys like Krejci, Horton, Lucic, Bergeron, Marchand etc. I think this series comes down to how well Vokoun/Fleury play and if Pitts top six has enough gas in the tank to deal with all four of Boston's lines. It'll be interesting to see what decision Julien makes when Ferrence is healthy again. Both Bart and Krug have been playing solid and putting up good numbers offensively and plus minus wise. Can't wait for it to get started.

Chicago lives another day. Game 6 back at the Joe on Monday. It's been a pretty good series. Love seeing the rivalry and the hate build up, especially with original six teams.

Chicago earned a Game 7 back at the Madhouse on Madison Wednesday night. They played their hearts out and left it all on the ice. Good seeing Toews just suck it up and play his game. He's the definition of what a captain should be.
Kings and Sharks have Game 7 tomorrow night in L.A.. Should be a fun one. My money is on the Sharks.
These game sevens in the West should make the East Finals even better. More time for the Boston's d-men to heal up and get some rest.

One heck of a Game 7 last night. Everything a fan asks for in one. Great play by the goalies, dmen, and forwards. Sixty minutes of all out hockey. Congrats to the Kings on advancing and to the Sharks on a very good season.
Tonight should be a fun one too. Detroit and Chicago Game 7 at the Madhouse on Madison.

I'm looking forward to tonight's game, hard to not pick the Hawks in a Game 7 at home but I think it will be a tight one. Detroit has to take the crowd out of it early, and both goalies have to be close to perfect...

Chi town will win tonight. Detroit has it, but they don't want it as bad. Can't wait for Saturday. Boston does have a good team, and they are physical. Chara is one tough dude to get around. I'm confident in the Pens though.

Looks like Torts is gone in NY. No more lengthy post-game interviews.

Brooksie should be happy Torts is gone, although the post game interviews won't be as interesting.

I just hope that the NYR hire the right Head Coach. Torts isn't a bad coach for a short term, but this season he lost the team from what I've been reading and he just never changed his coaching style to fit the players on the team.
Tonight: Let's Go Blackhawks. Should be a good game.

Great game. Both goalies were on and both teams were making great plays at both ends. Hawks vs. Kings for the Western Conference Championship. GO HAWKS!

Heard of Torts' firing. I would have kept him on. He's done a good job with the team.

It's irrelevant now, but the Hawks nearly got hosed by that call. If the Wings had won in OT there would've been riots...in Vancouver and Montreal. Why not...

Well, I believe my Bruins can beat the Pens, but they will have to be on their game all the time. We have better defence and goaltending, but everyone knows how hot the Pens offence can be. Its gonna be a good series.

Now I don't know what to do Friday since there's no games. I might have to do something I haven't done since the start of the playoffs, go on a date with my fiancé lol.

I KNEW I should have worn my Red Wing's jersey. It would have helped. On a side note my wife's ENTIRE family are Blackhawks fans. Not only do we give each other massive amounts of grief over hockey, but all my kid's hockey hand me downs are Blackhawks clothes...
I hug them less when they wear them.

Been a Hawks fan since I was 8 in 1970. Thought I can die a happy man when they won 3 years ago. Both Conference final games will go 7 games each is my prognostication. Chicago and Boston. Original 6. When was the last original 6 matchup? 1979 Habs vs. Rangers?
