Yanik is a true artist. Below is an example of what he can do. It is one currently on his site, and is way out of my price range. It's not really one I would want anyway, but it really demonstrates his talent.

Do you buy Yanik pipes from ebay?
Are they shipped from Turkey?

That is a carbon fiber shank, correct? And am I also correct that all of your "pencil shank" models have a carbon fiber shank inside the meerschaum shank?
Yes that is a cf shanked poker.
And yes my all pencilshank and bamboo models have cf or steel (i use it on especially very thin bamboos and shanks)tubes in their shanks as reinforcement.

I'm glad to see so many of you enjoying March Meerschaum Madness. Looks like some of you have discovered how great meerschaum pipes can be. Which is the whole reason for this event.

I'd just like to share this video from an old YouTube contributor, Jason the Meerschaum King, who was very knowledgeable about Meerschaum pipes, and had a very nice collection. Jason was given the name "Meerschaum King" by his friends which is why he used that as his handle for YouTube. The pipe in this short video is my "holy grail" pipe. Jason passed away a handful of years ago, and his collection I believe was taken in by a friend of his. It may have actually been Marty Pulvers, but I can't verify that. I would love to own this pipe if I could ever find who owned it, and if they were willing to part with it.

This is great! Did you make it? I'm assuming it was pure white when you started? How many smokes/how long have you been smoking it?
Yes i made it.
And yes it was pure white when I started.
I had smoked it about 30 bowls.
Patterns began to appear.
After the beeswax renewed, the patterns were completely revealed.

Ah, so re-waxing helps bring out the patterns in those...I don't think anyone has mentioned that before.

Ah, so re-waxing helps bring out the patterns in those...I don't think anyone has mentioned that before.
In fact, there is information about re-waxing in many sources on the internet, I think I even read it in this forum too.
re-waxing ensures that the tar and oils trapped between the pores of the block are homogeneously dispersed and defined.
However, misapplication can also render the pipe unusable.
So I don't recommend everyone to apply this in home.
