Gathered these up in my smoking area and will work my way through them this weekend.
At left is a 1923 Peterson, then a 1902 Patent that goes with the case. Followed by an unknown and the 1876 I showed earlier.

I’ve been smoking this one several times per day to participate in the March Meerschaum Madness. I’ve had it since 2015 and it’s been reamed many many times but is just now starting to color a little on the shank, which is okay with me (I’m a tad disappointed it isn’t coloring more but it’s for smoking not ogling 😉).

The original orange stem was crap - poor draw, poor fitting and not comfortable. I had a new tortoise shell saddle stem made with an open draw and now it’s perfect!

I’m in! 👍

Thanks to Tim’s kindness, he gifted me with this 1901 Sam McLardy & Co. with a vulcanite stem.

This is the first meerschaum I’ve ever owned, and a really nice little smoker.

Well, since I sold my commission billiard from Astas meerschaum, I felt like I needed to try again. I still don't have a straight billiard meer.
This one will be on its way next week hopefully.

And I also, opted to NOT get my tamper commission done. I've been waiting weeks and he still didn't have the right size piece. So instead, I went with a cigarette holder just for fun.

It'll be interesting to watch that one color.

If you ever decide to sale that one please let me know its a great looking pipe and it is the same age as me or at least has my birth year on it :ROFLMAO:
No plans to sell this one. ;)

I've been trying for a long time to determine who carved this pipe, but have yet to figure it out. To my knowledge Bekler was the only one that signed his pipes at CAO. This one has a date on it, but no signature. I've only seen a few that have a date, and also have Bekler's name with it. The rest have just been his signature. This is the only one I've seen that doesn't have his name, but has a date. It would be great if it was a Bekler, but without the name I haven't been able to say one way or another. I even reached out to CAO, but they never replied. Of course they're so far removed from pipes these days that I'm sure no one at the company even remembers they made pipes. LOL

That taste should go away after a couple bowls. Some people experience a weird taste when first smoking a new meerschaum. I've had a few that gave off a weird flavor at first, but it will go away. Power through, and enjoy that pipe.

When I get a new or estate meer that's unsmoked, I always blow through it and get as much meerschaum dust out, and follow that up with a pipe cleaner or two. It helps sometimes.
