From what I can make out from the pics it’s from 2000.
I can confirm it's 2000. While not announced as any kind of limited edition, both 4103 and 5103 shell billiards with that wide silver band (decorated with oversized hallmarks including a stylized "commemorative" mark in the shape of a cross for the year 2000) were part of quite an extensive range of deluxe "millennium" products that Dunhill marketed at the turn of the new century. Over the years I've seen EBay listings for Dunhills with much the same silver band, but at least in theory, they ought to have normal letter date marks.

On the subject of old tobacco, I finally had your Benson & Hedges after some very mild passive rehydration and it was jaw-dropping good. "Much obliged, pilgrim" ;)
Glad to hear you liked it? Aged quite well I thought, almost like a vintage cheese.? Just in case you're interested, that Wills's Golden Bar was Clement Atlee's preferred tobacco (ex prime minister).

Well done sir ! Look as if they will clean up nicely too !
The Orlik "scoop" patent is a wonderfully grained apple.
I finally got the stem freed! Freezer/rubbing alcohol about 10 times!
Here is the stinger. Note the button to release the mechanism I believe.

This nice Weingott lovat went for rather more than I expected. A few recent auctions suggests to me that Weingott are increasing in demand, at least that there are a handful of collectors that bid vigorously amongst themselves for them.

A nice Charatan Cup & Saucer did well.

One Dot Sasieni's continue to hold their value.

This is a rare Comoy's - the 806 (which I think is always stamped Extraordinaire) - but this is also a Blue Riband grade.

I tried bidding on the Comoy's, but, the bidding jumped up more than I had entered in the last few seconds. I would've lost if my bid got in. I had a feeling it was going to go for close to 700 or more and should've trusted my instincts; I wasn't willing to go quite that high, but I doubt I'll see another Blue Riband Extraordinaire with such interesting grain anytime soon. There was an unsmoked, boxed Blue Riband that went for more than that awhile back, but, I wouldn't have smoked that.

there were some interesting pipes, at least for me
I was tempted ot bid on the Barling, especially as it looked like it was either unsmoked or barely smoked, but passed, literally at the last minute, after close up examining the pictures and seeing some substantial surface damage on one side. Interesting pipe, nonetheless.
The BBB is spectacular. The owner better be damned careful as any damage to the amber stem and he's shit out of luck. The last remaining restorer who works with amber recently retired.
Prices seem quite healthy in general. For now.

Perhaps you could have removed the Ropp portion and left in the Weingott (English) part. The post would have been less confusing then. Don't you think?
Perhaps - but on the phone, editing is not as easy as with the laptop, so I choose the easiest route. The easiest solution is of course to not post the wrong pipe to this thread in the first place, then, no editing is required.
