Honest Question: Why do we Care what a Smoker calls Himself?

I call myself a pipe smoker whose tastes in pipes and tobacco are legendary. All I have to do is list a blend I am smoking and then within minutes it is sold out all over the country. When I work with an artisan pipe maker he is immediately known all across the world because he is making pipes for me. He is elevated to god like status as an artisan pipe maker and can sell a pipe within minutes on his home site.

I could care less what others call themselves but don't even think of labeling the rest of us with any other name than Pipe Smoker.

Wait, people still smoke pipes? I think I get most irratated when people assume I'm smoking marijuana. Most times they just won't know what to call it.... 'old fashioned vaping'??

last winter I had some youngsters invite me to a party while I was walking home. My theory is they saw me smoking a pipe and made that assumption. Hey as long as they don't call the cops on you. Roll your own cigs and smoke a pipe when you are 16 and people will call the police on you. At least the cops don't make the same mistake. That would have been troublesome.

I just call hipsters wanna be pipe smokers. If they realized it was a cool thing to do they would stop.

I think we should call the lady pipers “pipettes.”

I use the term hiv (pronouced as a word, not an acronym) when I am really sick. "Don't come near me, I have the hiv!"

In our house, we "got the 'thrax"; a diminutive for anthrax.

these days everyone is a hipster. It's just a fact. Hipsters are fine it's the anti-hipsters that suck. You know the people that everyone calls hipsters and they get so offended and they listen to bands the hipsters haven't heard. And they do more to not be like a "hipster" then hipsters do to not be like squares. Basically they're super hipsters and they suck so much. Though the fun thing is you can say whatever mean things you want about them because they can never admit to even themselves what they are.

Yeah, in my post it shouldn't have been upper case, but the effing spil chucker changed it. I changed it back, it over wrote, changed it, etc. and gave up.

at least we're allowed to mention this on this site. I saw one tobacco forum where mentions of nicotine where cracked down on. People couldn't ask about nicotine levels. Also banned on that forum any mention of any possible drug effects. I.e. tobacco makes me feel relaxed. Basically because the owner of the forum thought people should enjoy tobacco solely for the taste and aromas and culture and anything aside from the things it does that makes it a divine gift.

Hard to believe anyone this uptight and controlling could actually sit down and enjoy a good smoke? Some people work so hard to take the joy out of the most simple activities or pleasures. Maybe he could just get a “tobacco scented candle?
