Esterval's Current Lead Time?

I just placed an order on Saturday. Looking forward to its arrival.

Ironically, by being in Germany I do not have access to Estervals pipe tobacco sales and some of the products (like bulk HU Directors Cut) are also unavailable. What a bummer! I pay full price without bulk options but if I was still in America this wouldn't be the case. From an email exchange with them:

This items is only by export for shipment outside EU.

By shipment within Germany or within EU is this item not available.
this items is prohibit in Germany.​

My last order took five weeks to deliver in Louisiana. This is the longest wait I have had though I don’t think I have ever had an Estervals order delivered in fewer than three weeks - but it is always delivered, well packed, and without issue.

My order has reached the U.S at ISC New York where its been stuck at for almost a week, at least according to the tracking. Is this common in your experience? Just curious if maybe it's having a problem with customs or something.

Here's Estervals lead time. When you get it. If you're out of tobacco needing something to smoke, don't buy it from Estrrvals. If you want some of the fabulous HU blends or others only accessible from Estrrvals, at a great price, place to your order and just wait until it arrives.

How do you know it's in the U.S? I placed an order on December 3rd and it still shows in Hamburg. Is there somewhere else to look than DHL Tracking?

It's my first time ordering from Estervals and it was a big order so I am a bit jittery.....

If you take the tracking number and enter it into USPS tracking, it will come up when it reaches the US. Usually takes a few days after that to actually get into the USPS system and start your way.

My standard answer for Esterval's orders is, "wait and be patient." That said, I've had some arrive in 10-14 days and some >5 weeks. The key is to remember that the tracking goes dark once your email notification says it's processed. You wait, and wait, then bingo it shows up. And you will not get email updates during the process.

But ALL of my tobacco purchases have eventually arrived.

I order from them about once a month. I've had packages show up in 3 weeks and my November order took 6 weeks. I have an order placed on December 11th. It transferred to the USPS 3 days ago and it cleared customs in NJ today and is on it's way to Arizona. I should have it next week.

The shipping times are all over the board but I have never had an order not arrive and I have never had an order that was opened by US Customs.

The key to Estervals' is patience.

I had it go through US ISC New York once then it transferred to USPS Regional Facility
JERSEY CITY NJ NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER it stayed there for a few days and then went on. My first few orders went from Germany to California. They made it to me in 3 weeks. Now they go through NJ. It was my first order coming from the east coast got stuck in NY ISC. Since then they go straight through to NJ. Not sure why.

Thanks to Hoosier, I now know that is is still in Hamburg but the info has been transmitted to USPS stating they are preparing to hand it over to them. Hey, at least it's something, right? I was also able to sign up for text messages once there is any movement.

I guess ordering overseas depends a lot on shipping, because like others have experienced, my Al Pascia's orders arrive in a couple of days, but ordering from Germany is a few weeks. I ordered from Synjeco, and it took about two weeks, and an order from Russia took almost two months.

We ordered in November got 3 weeks later. That’s has been the standard for me the last year. I’ve seen it stuck in US customs in New Jersey linger then in Germany
