I saw this video of old british chap's making "perique" and it makes me unsure if Crowley was even smoking real Perique

He refers to it by location from Louisiana, I think in recognition of what you spotted being common practice at the time.

Yea, I hate the gimmicks too.... This stuff is made with Arcadian Perique- its not really the real St. James Perique from Louisiana........ But Limited editions excite the masses, and it will sell quick, watch them sell on e-bay in a few days for 3X the money.

Try Pease's Haddos Delight.... I have not smoked it, but it gets great reviews:

It probably is made with Arcadian Perique too, I cannot say for sure, but it has its fans.... ::

I'm not a huge Perique fan, I do enjoy escudo, Dunhill EM from time to time. I've got a few tins of Kajun kake, have not opened them yet....

Scarface: there is no blueberry topping in this blend. Somebody can't tell the difference between a muffin and pipe tobacco. The topping is spiced rum. Several places will be selling this blend, so you may have a chance to get it.

I have seen reviews from many different forum members across several different forums, and I have seen where folks have already ordered some. And, I cannot find it anywhere. I believe today was supposed to be the release date. Have they already sold out? Do you have to order direct from C&D or what?

I just did the same. I called Smoking Pipes first and was told it would be up on their site at noonish eastern time.

P&C and SP.c must be all drunk in Chicago. I wonder what happens if 4Noggins sells 777 tins before noon. Are the other companies just S.O.L?

A salesperson at P&C told me they had it in "their system" but hadn't received the order yet. That's kind of odd and makes no sense since 4Noggins is taking orders already.
