I need to apologize to everyone following this thread. I'm sorry for shooting my mouth off and running my mouth when I should have just shut up. I get going and should stop or not post at all. If my comments came across as boasting or overly knowledgeable please forgive me. For me, this is a place to socialize with other smokers in an electronic format and I really appreciate the people I have met. Instead of engendering camaraderie I probably do the opposite but I am learning. Maybe by the time I'm eighty or ninety (great expectation) I will have progressed. My sincere apologies to all if I have offended anyone.

I forgot to mention, I added some Tilbury, Dunbar and Dorchester to the box. Of the three, Dorchester is my favourite, though most seem to prefer the Dunbar. Tilbury is a nice mild, meat and potatoes like smoke. Enjoy!

No sign of the box yet. It's been listed as 'out for delivery' since noon on Monday.
I made some inquiries at the post office and they seemed pretty sure it would arrive soon, but previous deliveries have always arrived the day of the 'out for delivery' scan.
Sure Calgary is a bit sprawled out, but 3+ days to get from the NE to the SW is giving me a minor case of the Willies.

The delivery person is probably a closet pipe smoker and the box is probably so permeated with the scent of Royal Yuck, oops Yacht that he couldn't resist.

Eek, hopefully it gets to you soon! I've had packages scanned as 'delivered' before they were actually delivered due to a clerical error but those usually resolved themselves within a day.
Hopefully it shows up today in time for the long weekend!

Good news, the box turned up this morning. It got delivered to the wrong house. The homeowner brought it over. He's a good man.
There's some great stuff in there, wow. I'm going to load up some Stonehaven shortly.

I tried some Esoterica Dorchester last night. It was excellent. The smoke was cool, crisp, refreshing...almost like a sprite or ginger ale. All around a really smooth smoke with the flavor and complexity of 6 or 7 different virginias. My only wish is that it was stronger in the nic department but that is secondary to the taste, so my initial impression is that we have a winner. I'll be keeping a lookout for more of this.

That's a good comparison - It is a bit like a ginger ale, maybe with a little earthy gin thrown in! Glad you're liking it and that the box made it to you! Hopefully I didn't misprint the address....

Nope you nailed the address. I'm in one of those newer communities where all the street names begin the same, with random words at the end... Common, Meadows, Link, Drive, Mews....ad infinum. I can see how mix ups would happen. The mail carrier did get the house number right at least. :lol:
I tried some Tilbury yesterday. I got a very similar vibe from the Virginias, and the Burley was smooth and not at all harsh, but it was very mild for a VaBur imo.
