My wife and two daughters all have a dairy allergy, so we use Avocado butter. Not really sure how that works but it is not bad.

But the real question at hand is Chunky v Smooth Peanut Butter?

I prefer crunchy (but not chunky) peanut butter.

Here is an interesting fact: in the Netherlands they call peanut butter 'peanut cheese'.

I reckon this was a marketing ploy by the dairy industry, because most people in the Netherlands butter their bread with margarine first before putting peanut butter on.

At one time the Netherlands had what was referred to as the 'butter mountain', a huge stockpile of excess butter due to farming subsidies.

The Netherlands has the best peanut butter. We bring kilos of the stuff with us when travelling back from the Netherlands to Australia.

When frying eggs I add a little olive oil to the butter. Allows you to cook the egg low and slow. Delicious!

After living in Europe for 5 years, I have a hard time with American commerical butter as it just tastes like salty fat. I do have some local farm contacts where I can get good butter but nothing from the store tastes remotely as good as what I got over there. Saves me a few calories so I'm not complaining.

Coconut oil has more saturated fat than butter. That shit will kill you.
