Grabow would probably replace the stem for free if you emailed them a link to this thread.

I do like that idea of them replacing the stem. However, that would be cheating. And I'm rooting for it to be done sooner than later. I miss my cobs.

Usually that's not a bad thing.. in this case its not a good sign. You got your moneys worth though. The leaky stem has ruined my try with a Grabow, I really wanted to love it. The one I have leaks smoke though and not so much moisture.

Yep. That ones in better shape than mine even after 500 smokes.. I hear they are helpful if you call with problems, I'm inspired to give them a call. Ill try to Grabow again.
So I just spoke to Debbie from the Dr Grabow company about getting another stem for my pipe.
She said they do offer lucite stems for most pipes. And they aren't overly expensive. However the only way to go about doing it is sending my pipe in to be fitted. Which is neat because then it will be official to my pipe. However that means weeks without it.
But now I know, and for my next Grabow I purchase, I'll consider a lucite stem.
