Yeah I think you’re on the right track, Rossi is a discount Sav line in case you didn’t know and can get a good pipe for around 70$... that surprises me, as I just checked my Sutliff and C/D (smaller tall round tins) and yes they have cardboard sides added on, but the whole tin itself is all aluminum. Mason jars with a latch
I used those, good for a short run, after five years all my tobacco in those has completely dried, fortunately it’s stuff I don’t care too much about. They‘re OK for what you want though. Screw top mason jars are best, but those look like they’d be good.- elvishrunes

Why Buy Tins?
Context matters too, as a Canadian 70% of the price is tax/tariffs, so no real savings on bulk anymore, and if you did order too much they’d actually punish you more…. So bulk is actually more risky. As someone who’s gardened for over 30 yrs and worked on farms at times, currently I just grow houseplants, bonsai, and veg in my backyard…. Correct, or will be soon, old Mac B and spin-offs are still available, as this whole discussion involves STG taking over Mac B, and lines.
