    Samuel Gawith Tobacco Shortage?

For you snuff users on here, mrsnuff.com stocks Sam Gawith pipe tobacco as well. So if you're making a snuff order, you could toss some pipe baccy in as well. Just another option if you gotta scratch the Sam Gawith itch 8)

Question from a novice pipe smoker.

If you have enough pipes to devote them to a single variety (or in some cases a single blend) by all means, go ahead. A lot of guys swear by it. I smoke whatever blend, in whichever pipe, whenever I feel like it. I don't feel like im missing anything. If you want to devote one of your pipes to...

Question from a novice pipe smoker.

As far as resting goes, I agree with what has already been said in this thread. OTD mentioned the important thing is that it dries out. Im a very light smoker compared to some of these guys. I only do 2-3 bowls a day. So it gives me plenty of room to give my pipes a proper day's rest in between...

What Are You Smoking? Happy New Year 2012! II

Gotta play some catch-up here. My House of Calabash order came in, so last night I had their Canadian Maple in my Peterson 408. This morning some First Pipe of the Day in my Peterson 80s. And currently their Grandfather's Own Blend in my Peterson 301. More smoking, less typing 8)

House of Calabash-First Pipe of the Day

You think the blend name is long? They've apparently changed it recently. Now, its called Nothing Quite Like That First Pipe of the Day. A mouthful eh? I placed a small TAD order earlier in the week with House of Calabash and received my blends yesterday. This "First Pipe..." blend contains...

    Restoring "bands"

Ive seen some pipe guys on youtube recommend toothpaste as an alternative to actual silver polish. It seemed to work on camera. Anyone else use this?

What's With the Thread Necromancy Lately?

Seems a lot of new members are digging up old threads. At least they're using the search function 8) right?

    Samuel Gawith Tobacco Shortage?

Seems like Black XX is always in stock at the major baccy etailers, what, no ones hoarding Black XX?

What is your current "go to" or "everyday" smoke?

Until recently it was Rattray's Old Gowrie. Currently im hittin' the Peterson's Old Dublin every day. Morning, evening, whenever. Its just hitting the spot for me right now. Like others have said, this is subject to change 8)

    I (think) I have my P-Lip..

@Mick its definitely a beautiful pipe. I agree, it looks like an oldie for sure. I absolutely love p-lip stems, its a bit unusual at first but I totally latched on. Now, 5 of my 7 Petersons are p-lip. Haven't heard of member234589 before. I was sort of wary of someone with that type of username :?

    I (think) I have my P-Lip..

I asked the same question and got the same answer on that pipe. I was really interested in it till I saw that "blemish" or whatever it is. You'd have outbid me anyway, I was gonna go max $45 on it  if you turn out not liking it, id be willing to take it off your hands 8)

Post Your Picture With a Pipe.

I'll give this picture posting thing a try. Rockin' my Peterson 301. Hats and beards required right?

Post Your Picture With a Pipe.

@ohin3: Is that Isle of Jura Superstition on your table, sir? A fine choice 8)

    Check out these Dunhills

That's a very nice set. Considering the pipes included and everything, I'm of the same thinking as bigvan. The asking price is about $3k too high. The set is made up mostly of blasted Dunhills, which seem to go anywhere from $200 to $300 a piece. The smooth ones a bit higher. I can't imagine...
