Peterson Estate Restoration, B&A pics..so far

I second marmal4de's suggestion on checking how old it is. Theres a hallmark/dating chart on the official Peterson website to find out. Excellent job so far bringing that one back from the dead!

What Are You Smoking? February II

Started the day with some GLP Fillmore in my Peterson Deluxe System 8S. This pipe/baccy combo is really clicking well.

    Walt Disney World

Well, just got back last night. My experience was similar to the person mark was referencing above. In the actual parks, it was just too much trouble. It was too crowded and hectic to even try to enjoy a pipe. In the hotel resort though, I found it quite agreeable. We stayed at the Pop Century...

    Peterson Aran Specs?

Lordofthepiprings has got it there. I always use smokingpipes.com for their detailed pipe specs. The Aran line are some good looking pipes too.

    McClellands

I got my first taste of a McClelland blend a few days ago. It was their Navy Cavendish from the Matured Virginias series. Oh man oh man, it sure is good. If the rest of their blends are quality like this, they've got a new fan.

    Pipe sizes

Maybe im reading the original post wrong. Are you saying you've purchased eight Dunhills, decided they were too small, then put them in a drawer somewhere? Seems a bit expensive to continue doing that :? This is why I prefer smokingpipes.com They list every measurement you could want, and the...

    Wondering about member status.

As far as I know, you need the post count AND time in service 8)

Stick Them With the Pointy End! Or Ends, Rather!

 Two pounds!? Man, that's no pocket knife for sure. Im willing to bet that's more of a novelty than something they actually expect someone to use for survival. +1 for a Swiss Army Knife for a kid's birthday present. One step closer to being the "cool Uncle" im sure 8)

    Walt Disney World

Thanks to everyone so far. @tokerpipes My fiancee and I really enjoyed Epcot last time we went. We'll be spending two of our four days there, "drinking around the world" as they say 8) Glad to know I can enjoy a pipe while im at it.

    Walt Disney World

Contrary to what most people think, Disney World is very adult friendly. You can buy a wide array of alcoholic beverages in every park except the Magic Kingdom, for example. I was last there a year and a half ago, I wasn't smoking then, and I remember people smoking. I just didn't pay attention...

    Something to Think About

Another bearded, pipe-smoking gun owner signing in here. Haven't updated the avatar, quite wooly at the moment 8)

    Walt Disney World

Early Monday morning i'll be driving down to Disney World with my fiancee for four days. I plan on bringing a couple pipes to enjoy and keep my sanity in check. So, i'm just wondering if any of you guys have any experience with Disney World as far as smoking goes. Are smoking areas frequent...

Peterson St. patricks day pipe arrival

I can understand your disappointment, but I feel like I should point out something. Pipesandcigars.com as well as most of the other online pipe retailers, list bowl dimensions for each pipe. I just checked, and pipesandcigars says your 221 has a 1.75" bowl height, 1.5" inner bowl depth, and a...

It's always nice to get more than you bargained for

Though I don't own a Peterson from the Shannon line yet, they have a really attractive finish to me. Sure is nice when you buy an "entry level" pipe and end up with some killer grain. Not to mention the 80s shape is one of my fav's 8)

    Met Erik Nording today.

I wish I could have gone with you guys. It sounded like it was going to be pretty cool. But alas, I am a humble civil servant, and people demand alcohol sales on Saturday

PAD Beast Call'in for a Peterson 106 Spigot

For me, the Peterson spigots are the best looking pipes out there. Once the tax return comes in, its on!

    Question to all cob smokers

I understand what jchaplick is saying. I took about a 2month hiatus from the cob, and after smoking briar exclusively, the cob draw feels "too open". Almost like breathing with no resistance at all. I dunno how to remedy it jchaplick. I don't want or feel like messing with filters. For me, my...

    Thanks Mr. Snuff!

Pretty sure im gonna do some Sammy Gawith snuffs next order. I've also read their black coffee is supposed to be excellent. Seems like I picked the right scents but just the wrong blender

    Petersen gurgle issue.

Rock of Cashel pipes aren't system pipes. They're one of Peterson's entry level lines. My 408 Rock of Cashel gurgles a bit as well. My pricier Peterson don't have this issue, but it also has a lot to do with how you smoke sometimes. +1 on spartan's cake comment, some cake will help manage...
