Gwynclan: Half n Half to my knowledge/limited experience has an anise topping, not a whisky/vanilla. Interesting your B&M would use that name. Seems like it would create a bit of confusion.- dylan793

Smoking moldy tobacco
I don't know if its harmful or bad or tastes funny or whatever. I simply wouldn't smoke it. I usually live by the "waste not, want not" way of thinking, but im not messing with any moldy tobacco.- dylan793

Just got some Cornell and Diehl Blockade Runner.
Dave, I've got about a 1/4 of a brick left of Blockade Runner. When I first got it, I was still pretty green as far as pipe smoking goes. What determines a good smoking pipe?
Unfortunately, the answer to your question will vary greatly, and will probably come down to a lot of personal opinion. Why only Peterson brand featured on home page?
He's talking about the home page. When you scroll down past most of the articles, there's a smell section with a smokingpipes featured pipe. It always seems to be Peterson. Im fine with this, however. I only smoke Petersons anyway 8)- dylan793

Opinions on Black & Mild pipe tobacco cigars?
My mother smokes two packs of these a day. Pretty sure she inhales them. They certainly smell better than the nails she used to suck down. Don't know how good they are personally. I assume they're made with some version of Middleton's pipe tobacco. I don't think you'll get many positive remarks...- dylan793

The Peterson Donegal (rustic) and Aran (matte smooth) lines are in your price range. All sorts of shapes to choose from, fishtail or p-lip if you want. If you're set on a freehand, Nording makes freehands around your budget as well. I've found cupojoes.com seems to have a wide selection on those. -
